- Take the train from Brussels to Poperinge (closest major town to Westvleteren).
- Walk out of the train station and turn left onto Ieperstraat (towards the center of town).
- After about 5 min turn right onto Goudenhoofdstraat.
- A little ways down on the left will be a bike shop that rents bikes.
Nice people. Good bikes and they will draw you a map to Westvleteren. It is a lovely ride out there and well worth it. Under an hour. Mostly flat.
If you have any extra time you must visit the National Hop Museum which is right in Poperinge. Check the tourist office on the main square for directions.
If you are efficient you could do all this in a day and still make the last train back to Brussels.
